Argyle Legends strolled to a resounding 11 goals to 1 victory over visitors Moreton Vale Wanderers at sun drenched Lux Park, home of Liskeard Athletic FC. The Gloucestershire based team whose manager is an avid Argyle fan were raising money to send a family on holiday after they lost several members of their family in a road traffic accident last year. Argyle Legends were only to willing to support such a worthy cause and fielded a side containing many well known names.

The second half continued in the same vein as the first and it was no surprise when O'Hagan made it 7-1 after 40 minutes with his 6th goal of the game. The goal of the game and the Legends 8th came 4 minutes later when Leigh Cooper nearly broke the net with a screamer from fully 30 yards. Before the game it was agreed that Simon Hardiman, the brother of visitor's manager, would fulfil a life time ambition and play 25 minutes for the Legends. Simon's day was complete when he scored in the 46th minute to make it 9-1. Despite a couple of forays into the Legends half their defence containing Gordon Nesbit and Steve Davey were never seriously troubled by the Moreton Vale forwards.
In the 60th minute a shot from Mark Damerell took a deflection and wrong footed the Wanderers keeper to make it 10-1 to the Legends. The scoring was completed just before the end when substitute Paul Smith made it 11-1.
After the game the Legends posed for photographs with their sporting opponents and willingly signed their autographs on all the visitors' shirts. A collection and a raffle were also held and it is believed several hundred pounds was raised.
